Let’s just get a few things straight here:

Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the great ex-Muslim, was an anti-Hindu and anti-Bengali bigot, a hypocrite and an ingrate. No truly devout Muslim would have approved of his "Direct Action Day", the result of which was thousands upon thousands of Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs murdering, pillaging and raping each other.

Rape is NOT sanctioned in Islam. The Jews of Quraiza DID betray the Muslims and were ultimately judged on the basis of their own sacred laws. Among those to be executed was Huyayy, the leader of the exiled Jewish tribe of Bani Nadir, who had goaded the Jews of Quraiza to break their pact with Muhammad. He was also the father of Safiyyah.

When Safiyyah was captured, she was given the choice by Muhammad to remain Jewish and return freely to her people, or to become a Muslim and become his wife. She chose the latter. The choice was not forced upon her.

God choses whom He will to deliver His revelations to the people. Muhammad was not the only prophet, but he was the last. other prophets had been sent to other nations all around the world. It seems that the Israelites were blessed by God and were given more prophets than any other nation on earth.

Now why would God chose the Arabs, of all people, to send the message? The answer is simple: If the Arabs were a noble, righteous people, they would not have needed a prophet in the first place to remind them that their Lord was One and that they would have to face Him for Judgment someday. Just as prophets were sent to the Children of Israel while they were wronging themselves, or just before they were destroyed by foreign invaders (the Assyrians, the Babylonians, and then the Romans).

You guys are absolutely pathetic. I came to this forum wanting to help look for signs in people and in my fellow Muslims in particular that could be used to identify potential terrorists. I happen to be a supporter of the US’s war effort in Afghanistan and Iraq and Israel’s fight against Hezbollah. What you guys expect from me is to hand over a pound of my own flesh without spilling a drop of my blood. That’s not going to happen...ever, God be Willing, so please don’t waste your time and mine. I want suggestions and support with regard to finding these loony tunes. As long as I’m not out there supporting Osama bin Laden or his merry band of cutthroats in any way whatsoever, my beliefs are mine to maintain and cherish and are none of your business, just as I couldn’t care less if you worshipped God or Jesus or Satan or the Korean-American goddess of cyberspace.

To me, you’re just as loony as Osama bin Laden, his fundamentalist worshippers and the loony left here in the USA (which includes CodePink and DailyKos). All of your arguments are one-sided and super-selective when it comes to interpreting the Qur’an and the Hadith. Your entire reading of these texts is subjective and NOT objective at all, which strongly resembles the fundamentalists’ approach to interpreting Islamic texts. Islamic fundamentalism is nothing more than a twisted political ideology/death cult combo masquerading as a religion. They can’t fool me, and neither can you.

When it comes to taking back Islam from the fundamentalists, you guys haven’t helped out in the least bit. Who needs Al Jazeera when people like you are out there literally agreeing with Osama bin Laden with regard to what he thinks Islam is? You’re doing his work for him. If I were in his place, which I can never see myself being in, I would have been grateful for you and your work here. Congratulations on a job well done!

You think you can make a difference in the world? You’re in the wrong place. If any of you are US Citizens and are not in the US military already, go and sign up for active duty today. I wish I could, too, but I can’t due to my residency status here...and besides, my wife won’t let me for fear of losing me. Can you believe this? A Muslim man who listens to his wife??? Otherwise it would have been an honor for me to serve as a Muslim under the Red White and Blue.
