Profiling is correctReader comment on item: To Profile or Not to Profile? [The Abdullah al-Kidd Case] Submitted by Rabindra Bhattacharjee (Japan), Aug 25, 2006 at 01:55 We all must know by this time that we live in a dangerous world. Although all human beings should be the same, unfortunetely some are not. If a particular group or faith have propensity to kill innocents and repeatedly one particular group have committed such crimes, I do see no problem profiling them. When I board a plane withmy two innocent little boys, all I want is the plane should get rid of the evils regardless any sort of screening, tagging, and profiling. The hate crime is widespred in Islamic world. Almost all of muslim students learn hate in school and many Islamic countries have still such curriculum. So we are seeing, or starting to see, the outburst of their teaching. Many intellectuals relate today's terrorism with poverty, opportunity, military rule etc. Then why not a single Hindu, Budhists, Christians, communists, Chinese, and thousands of poor south americans are jumping on the innocents with human bombs. If you continue to be politically correct, then get ready to give a heavy price for your position.
