re: Foreign PolicyReader comment on item: CAIR and the Council on Foreign Relations Endorse Mearsheimer/Walt Submitted by a reader (United States), Aug 31, 2006 at 10:18 It seems to me that Foreign Policy regularly discounts the threat of radical Islamism. The first article in the Sept/Oct issue completely discounts the threat of Al Qaida in the US, saying that there just aren't very many terrorists here. And you read "France and its Muslims" in the Sept/Oct issue, you will see that the author goes out of her way not to criticize the behavior of French Muslim immigrants in any way, even directly contradicting herself in the service of this goal. She first says that Muslims are almost completely assimilated into French society, but then tries to prove how French racism is preventing Muslims from integrating. She also says that the riots in the banlieulles had nothing to do with Islamist provocation.
