Lots of ways to "spell" freedom in America.Reader comment on item: Homaidan Ali Al-Turki, Colorado Slave-holder Submitted by OJ (United States), Sep 5, 2006 at 19:26 Of all that Freedom means to us. Freedom from Tyranny is highest. Your primary idea of Freedom is what you can do to others despite themselves. There are far too many examples of this Oppressive behavior. "You" are offended when this part of Freedom, "your freedom to do unto others no matter," is overriden by a nation's laws. You are ignoring all the other aspects of Freedom and enraged when you are denied what is historically known as tyranny. In your particular space then we might examine National Socialism and as a method of Fascism? You would rather be "free" to do what ever strikes your fancy - historically "you" are hoping we ignore the other factors of Freedom American's hold so dear. Slavery, or anything that smacks of that, has law against over riding "your" narrow view of Freedom. So maybe we ought talk about fascist techniques as part of National Socialism instead? Its historical means, methods and stated supremacist goals? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
