I certainly agree that the Russians bore the brunt of WW2 and Norways contribution to the allied war effort is often over-looked and underated especially given the population of Norway. Also overlooked are the Polish who fought courageously against the Germans, and who were the first to do so.

As far as Russians getting supplies from England and Canada, this is not quite accurate. Sure enough, some supplies might have come from these two countries, but certainly very little. Nearly all of the supplies that the UK gave to Russia came from the United States. U.S. policy didn't allow for direct supply to the Russians and the UK had to act as a middle man.

I'm familiar with German V1 and V2 rockets and "buzz bombs" none of which could ever come close to reaching the United States. Please enlighten me if i'm wrong.

Lastly I hardly think that Norway saved the United States. For one we were fighting in a European theatre. The Germans could only muster a few uboats around our East coast......not terribly threatening. Also consider too that we were fighting the Japanese who could manage even less.... outside of Hawaii.

Don't get me wrong, we as a country appreciate Norway for its fortitude and national pride. That no doubt saved America from having greater casualties than it otherwise would have had.
