religion of peace?Reader comment on item: More Muslim "Hate Crime" Myths Submitted by Jamie (United States), Nov 28, 2006 at 11:36 ...Here are some observations about Islam. If it is a religion of peace, then why when their "brothers" blow someone or something up, is there not a outcry of public denouncement? If someone draws a cartoon of Mohommad (which I thought was hilarious because it is true) and they burned stuff, killed a nun, and showed the world what Islam is really about, then why is there not the same outcry when they blow something up? Islam is about the sword, not peace. Islam is about hatred, not peace. Islam is about oppression, not peace. This idea about being ignorant to the Muslim religion. If they really were against the problems that Muslim religion brings they would be doing everything in their effort to appease it. Christianity does not blow things up, burn, and riot when Jesus is made fun of. Know why? Most Americans can't appreciate they have personal freedom. One of my freedoms is that I think the Muslim religion is ... not peaceful Jamie Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
