A few points that are obvious even if not learned

I've read lots of very educated posts on the muslim presence in Britain and coming from one of the few areas where this religion has little or no influence, I have the following points on the question "where else but the west?"

1. Would allow a relatively small minority to have what appears from outside to have a majority-like say in what happens in their country of residence?

2.Allows a minorty to protest publicly in their capital holding up signs damning the west, its leaders, its religions and its way of life......and be protected by the police!

3. Allows valuable tax payers money to be wasted on pointless court cases over such things as "items of clothing and their religious significance......to that individual"

I'm not a particularly religious person,but I can see outright religious hatred when it rears its head (we had it for years here after all!) and quite frankly, thats what is happening. A westerner could not go to a muslim country and do such things, nor would a muslim condone it I would imagine. That means there is a lack of respect for a start and without that, all the efforts in the world at acceptance are wasted. We have our rednecks in the west too, but they are ours and are our problem. I can only hope that after the problems Ireland has had in the past, we dont have this one coming too. Only a matter of time perhaps....
