Yasin is, in fact, a financial supporter of terrorists, therefore, he is not a non militant in any meaningful sense.
Reexamine Dr. Pipes' point by point comparison of Islam to Nazism. Even if Yasin were a true non militant, the points still hold.
There aren't many in the media or elsewhere bold enough to make the comparison of Islam to Nazism, mainly because most people, including those making the comparison, believe Nazism was more extreme and terrible. I propose that the opposite is true.
Ask yourself: what if Nazism had existed for centuries before World War II? What if it wasn't a newly created mindset, but an actual religion? Would the arrival of Russian, British and American troops have ended their movement? Absolutely not. The Germans took only a historical blink of an eye to recover.
What if these fictional Nazis numbered in the millions, not limited to one political party of one country, but were so numerous, in fact, that they had a presence in virtually every nation on earth, and were so violent that even minor differences among them would lead to war between them?
What if these fictional Nazis took down the swastika flags, removed their uniforms and all outward indications of which among them were prepared to carry out violent acts and instead remained blended with the similarly clad populace, many of whom knew nothing of the world save what they'd been given to read by these fictional Nazis?
The mental image you now have should be familiar. But, if you can't make the final connection, let me help: add beards and cloth headdresses.
