AppeaserReader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI Changes His Tone Submitted by donvan (United States), May 29, 2007 at 15:55 The Vatican, believing itself to be the representative of Christ on earth, and wishing to stem the blood of Christians being massacred by the followers of Muhammed world wide, has opted for appeasement. As the vatican did with Mr Hitler during WWII. This not to be critical of His Holiness, he must do what he can to save lives ,especially Christians. Yet one wonders how to square "Only evil" with an attempt to appease the hatred Islam instills in the heart of all Muhammedians. We,as Christians should pray for the souls of those who have chosen to worship an alien and strange god, that demands blood sacrifice and violence, that orders his followers to kill those who reject his message. Of course we must seek to bring them into understanding of the horrible effects their theology of hate brings to the world. Agnus dei,qui tolis peccata mundi, dona pacem.
