The evil DOER Mr. BushReader comment on item: Bush is rewarding [Palestinian] terrorism Submitted by Doody Kaminskie (United States), Jun 25, 2002 at 15:10 I don't understand where this Mr. Bush is coming from. There is much more need to understand about the ME problems before you offer solutions. and there Bush missed it completely. You're very right Dr. Pipes, Bush does reward the terrorism as means of acheivment, where he said: you are with us or against us. It can not be the carrot and the stick method when they're using only the stick. It does make me sick to see the blindness of this administration. How can you ask of dictatorships to support creations of democracy, where is the logic here? Why is he looking for support from the Arab nations, where have they been all these years prior to Israel's so called 'occupation' ? Why until today, 54 years later, palestinians are still living in refugee camps. the reason for that is, that no one of their "brothers" wants to help them be reastablished as normal human beings. Instead they're used as playing cards by the Saudis, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon. and making the refugees problems as Israel's problems, asif it was their (Israel's) decison to cause the fleeing of those refugees. The fact is that in 1948 David Ben Gurion pled for the palestinians to stay in Israel and grow with us. Some of them stayed, becoming the Israeli Arabs who, compared to the rest of the palestinians that live under arabs dictatorships, are prospering and having much better lives then anywhere else. Israel always understood the need of cooperation with the neighbors in order to be able to compete with the world market. They develop an incredible agriculture. The Negev-desert is blossoming with flowers and vegetables growing with dripping systems inside greenhouses. it's the same desert that the Beduims use to roam with their camels and occupied them self with smuggling and robbery. Israel had a lot to offer to those palestinians, but they refused. they want all Israel to themselves, and that after the majority of the land of Israel was purchased for the full land value by Rothchild for example. going back to Bush's speech. he missed completely the main aim that should have been: the goal of creating safe ground for both Israel and the palestinians. I hope to God that someone in our government will listen to your voice Daniel. I believe that you mean good. and I believe that there is a lot of substance to your writing and to your opinions. thanks again for your good efforts. yours truly d.k Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
