"Let's talk about Jordan"Reader comment on item: Bush is rewarding [Palestinian] terrorism Submitted by Robert M. Braun (United States), Jun 25, 2002 at 18:07 What I'd like to see is a "let's talk about Jordan" information campaign. Not that it would recommend or even hint at expulsion, but would merely present accurate historical information focusing on the fact that it is ALREADY a majority Palestinian state and that it was created specifically to BE a Palestinian state. Jordan already grants Jordanian citizenship to Palestinians. I think it's automatic. While the Arabs pretend to seek justice, let's merely point out that fact that Jordan's ruling Mideast Arab monarchy was put in place by a European Christian monarchy and leave the question as to the justice of that for the listeners to raise in their own minds and decide. We could encourage Congress to help improve Jordan's infrastructure, not only for its current majority Palestinian population, but to make it more attractive for its future immigrants as well. We could include the assistance of Europe, Russia, the Arab countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc. , or if not forthcoming, do it alone. This would be a campaign not about expulsion but about choices. And about the truth and justice for all involved. Make sense?
