Again, I have not made reference to my own personal beliefs, yet you seem to act like you know how I think and act. How arrogant of you to presume to know me. But also funny in a way...because it makes my point.

The funniest thing is that you refer to Islam as a "mafia cult". You really should learn the definition of a word before using it. But since you haven't bothered to even do that much, I am sure that the rest of your argument is just as invalid. Just for your edification (WARNING: BIG WORD...LOOK IT UP!), I will give you definitions of the phrase you have so blatantly thrown around:

Mafia: "A hierarchically structured secret organization allegedly engaged in smuggling, racketeering, trafficking in narcotics, and other criminal activities" (www.dictionary.com)

Cult: "a particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies" (www.dictionary.com) (e.g. christmas, easter, hannukah)

Now, if you take the fact that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, then that discounts the "secret organization". Next, considering the strict penalties for the forementioned illegal undertakings, that dicounts criminal activities. Next, according to the definition, ANY religion is a cult. Learn, MAN, LEARN!

Again, I will make my point, which you have apparently missed again, that there are "bad people" (to make it easy for you - you won't have to use a dictionary now) in any religion, country, culture, etc. in the world. NO ONE is perfect.

Now, compare the following verses:

(Quran 6:151) "...You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandements to you, that you may understand."

(Numbers 31): And the Lord said unto Moses, "Avenge the children of the Mid'-an'ites.. They warred against the Mid'-i-an'ites, as the Lord commanded Moses, and they slay all the males. And they took all women as captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods. And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their goodly castles, with fire. Moses said, "HAVE YOU SAVED ALL THE WOMEN ALIVE? NOW KILL EVERY MALE AMONG THE LITTLE ONES, AND KILL EVERY WOMAN that has known a man by lying with him, but all the young girls who have not known a man by lying with him keep alive for yourselves."

Which one says to kill?

You can pull verses all day, take them out of context from the Holy Quran and post them. I can pull verses all day from the Bible, take them out of context and post them. However, it doesn't change the fact that both religions have radicals that take the Holy Quran and the Bible and distort them to fit their purpose. I also know that there is a kind side to Islam that doesn't distort the facts...my husband has proven this to me, along with his family.

IN RESPONSE TO THE FOLLOWING

No one "spoon (feeds)" me anything. I do my own research. It seems that you just google "evil text from the Quran" and copy-paste'd into this post. Accept the fact that people are different, and stop believing everything you read. Get outside of the internet Islam bashing, or the 6 o'clock news that spends half of its time talking about the Iraq war. Get to actually KNOW a muslim. I do...I know several. NONE of them that I know go around talking bad about christianity. Did you know that the old testament is considered one of the holy texts of Islam?

As far as the woman that married her father-in-law: with western eyes we can look at that as "how awful". But, using India as another example, what about the practive of Sati? That's terrible also, but you aren't condemning Hindus for that? It would make just about as much sense.

Now, lastly, this is the last response you will get from me because you are not making a valid point, you are just arguing to make a post.
