Dear Charlie,

if you have followed carefully what has been published, you should have noticed that the Soviets were concerned about the development of the Israeli nuclear capabilities, and not about their Foxbat's options to fly over Dimona as you are trying to confound us and yourself. The Soviets instigated the outbreak of the Six Days War with the idea that this war will provide them the option and the excuse to destroy the Israeli nuclear facilities in Dimona. Luckily events developed not according to the Soviet plans.

The subject flights took place in May 1967, prior to the outbreak of the war (in June 5, 1967), and they provide evidence to where the real Soviet concerns were at that time.
