We are not interested in MosulReader comment on item: [Mosul and] Iraq's Next War Submitted by Irem (Germany), Oct 31, 2007 at 21:42 PKK, which is recognized by USA and many European countries as a terrorist organisation and is responsible for death of 30000 citizens of Turkey by guerilla war and big explosions in big metropols in Turkey, started to attack again and kill our people from the territory of Iraq. Iraq is not only a safe heaven for El Queda terrorists but also for PKK terrorists. After these bloody attacks Turkey wanted from USA and Iraqi governments to take any steps against the terrorists located and trained in northern Iraq, for example to surrender leaders of PKK. But nothing has changed, the reason given by USA was that they had not the ability to make this. No action was taken also by Iraqi government. And the president of Iraq, Celal Talabani, said "We are not going to give even a kurdish cat to Turkey". Hey, these people are terrorists and these people are killing our turkish and kurdish citizens. To protect these terrorists just because they have kurdish identity is a fully, jerky kurdish nationalism. I am turkish and i am against all kind of nationalism, either turkish or kurdish. But I love my country, i love my people, i just can not stand with people, who harm my people, or protect the ones, who harm my people. Regarding my and my country's reaction and protest as an expansionist behaviour is really not fair. We are not interested in northern Iraq, we just want to save ourselves, our people living in our territory. US came to Iraq after 9/11, which killed many Americans. I really understand the fear and the feeling of insecurity they experienced. I am 25 year old and I have been living with the threat of PKK for more than 15 years. I remember nights i cannot sleep after big explosions in the center of big cities resulted many deaths, when i was a child. I got used to this. Now i am just worried for other children in turkey.
