I agree with the TurksReader comment on item: [Mosul and] Iraq's Next War Submitted by Rich Krumm (United States), Nov 4, 2007 at 01:00 The Turks have every right in my opinion to defend themselves from terrorists. It is a shame the US or Iraq can't do more to curb the problem. If we can't stop these terrorist incursions into Turkey we should not be surprised to see the Turks respond militarily and do it for us. The battle against Islamist terrorism is why we fight in Iraq and Afghanistan to keep ourselves secure from terrorism. Can we expect the Turks to do no less in defending their people and nation? My only hope in this is that our long time friends and allies, the Turks, don't come to blows with US forces. There is a great potential for a powder keg to errupt and plunge our two nations into conflict. This only benifits our enemies. When the Turks attack the PKK I hope it is with the precision and forethought to avoid a broader conflict.
