Beware - All Enemies of Israel are to Be Vanquished

Reader comment on item: Conservative pundit argues for 'victory' over Palestinians

Dr. Daniel Pipes presents a case for adopting a stand of defense against the enemies of Israel, to be proactive in re-establishing the parameters for a strong national presence in an environment of international hostility and stifling enmity amongst belligerent and bellicose neighbors, both close and abroad. The problem one might observe here is that Dr. Pipes position endures in that hostile situation after so much faux peacemaking, while protection for Israel needed to be in place and enforced continuously since the Six Day War, and even from before. We will not belabor the history of animosity against the Jewish nation here; suffice we shall say it is ever present and Israel needs to remain vigilant and ready to defend its freedom.

The nation of Israel is one that cannot enjoy the relative calm of a people allowed to live their lives, raising families and providing an environment in which all go about their business without external interferences. Their location in the most volatile region of real estate was established long ago, and the people that the Israelis' endure as neighbors will not let them. So, Israel needs to remain vigilant and ready to defend its freedom..

Peace eludes Israel because there is a forgetfulness that peace comes with a price. It is also forgotten that the price for peace is not negotiable; it is almost always paid for in blood. This is a lesson of modern history that seems to be so easily forgotten, and one that in the study of ancient history it seems to be overlooked as well. Israeli politics has been so involved in trying to negotiate its peaceful coexistence that the Israeli bureaucrats forgot, Israel needs to remain vigilant and ready to defend its freedom.

Because if they do not, the time is coming when their defense will require the supernatural help of their Eternal Sovereign, and no one who harbors ill will against Israel will remain standing in the defense of Israel at that time.
