as enemy or as friendReader comment on item: Washington Protects the Terror Masters [in Courtrooms] Submitted by G.Vishvas (Germany), Nov 15, 2007 at 12:07 On the whole the US politics, especially of the republican party, was and is a major flop when it comes to defeating islam-based terrorism. The USA worships selfishness, greed, opportunism, short-term braggratry and arrogance. In dealing with islam these characteristics have led to an utter downfall and defeat hidden under self-deceit - the worst casuality being the trustworthiness of USA. Honesty is always the best policy - even in the short run. But USA seem to be incapable of that virtue. Islam is worse, but the quislings of islam present themselves as the underdogs fighting for human rights, dignity etc. (and that is a big humbug too) and thus get away with all their ill-deeds. USA is a sickly nation - both as friend and as enemy. Something is earnestly wrong in the US political system.
