Moral Guidance Response - Looking for an AnswerReader comment on item: Washington Protects the Terror Masters [in Courtrooms] Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Nov 24, 2007 at 14:56 In the barrage of the debates in which we participate here, and elsewhere where there is somewhat less civility in the exchanges, it is very difficult sometimes to find an intelligent question that needs an intelligent answer; so it is refreshing when one is found like the one that punctuates the response here, "Tell me where exactly we can find this moral compass that American Christians are rumored to possess?" There is only one perfect answer to this, in the perfected Word of Almighty God. The only problem with that answer is the human element, not by any defect that is alleged to be found in the Holy Bible. In the imperfect way mankind treats its approach to the teachings of Jesus Christ do we find difficulties in the application of the necessary moral guidance. It is as simple as that. Jesus Christ said, "if you love me (Jesus Christ), keep my commandments." Failing that, we can see where Christians' loss of their first love, that of the love of Jesus Christ, has gotten us in two thousand years. One might really ask, where is the love we should be bearing for Jesus? In answering that, we may eventually find the lost moral compass this world, not just America, desperately needs.
