Rebecca, your statement that, 1 Timothy 6:10, "that the love of money is the root of all evil", is incorrect. The proper translation of 1 Timothy 6:10 is, "for the love of money is a root of evil".

Perhaps the greatest evil in the last 25 to 30 years is the activity of Osama bin Ladin. Osama is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people and he didn't do it for the money. In fact, Osama was and perhaps still is, a multi millionaire. 25 years ago, he was worth over 300 million dollars. His evil activities were not intended for him to earn more money, rather his goal was to convert the world to Islam.
