Teddy bear affair

Dear Mr. Pipes,

These Islamists are not crazy; they are crazy like a fox. Although an alleged slight or insult of Mohammed or Islam is preferred, they do not need a pretext to riot, silence, and inflict pain and death. They believe--as did Lenin and Hitler--that the ends justify the means, however perverted the means may be. They believe that power grows out of the barrel of a gun, and they believe in power more than in the Koran. Indeed, they will subvert the Koran to their ends and describe their ends as holy. Only in the twisted logic of conquest can they issue fatwas to kill and maim those they wish to silence, as well as the innocent among us--infidels all!--and then bless those who do their warped bidding. While the world sits passively by, or even silently encourages these actions, it will, in the end, be left to Israel to bring down the pillars of evil, as did Sampson, even if it means the destruction of all. When, where, and how this will occur...only God knows!
