Let Iraqis run part of IraqReader comment on item: Let Iraqis run Iraq Submitted by Boris Galinsky (United States), Oct 19, 2003 at 17:05 The moment the US leaves Iraq, it will become just another right-wing terroris Islamic state. 1.3 billion Muslims just want let it have it otherwise. Event now, with the US troops in the country, the provisional government sent a delegation to Syria to promise not have any normal relationship with Israel. Imagine what will happen once US troops leave...The problem is that the country is being overrun by extremists slipping though very porous borders with Iran, Syria, Kuwait. Another issue is that the US also has to be compensated for 1. Arab aggression 2. Cost of running the war. One possible solution is to establish an 'independent' area in Iraq's oil-rich south. Build a security wall, pull US troop there and control the rest of Iraq with quick air raids.
