Gaza ought to be returned to Egypt.

Dr. Pipes is engaging in a little day dreaming. Before Israel decides to transfer Gaza to Egypt , he might ask Egypt whether they want the costs and responsibility of administering this piece of territory . The age of dictating terms is no longer an Israeli perogative. The huge setback of the Iraq war has created the climate of negotiating rather than dictating through force of arms.That is an obvious fact to all but an unrepentant small group of right wing extremists.
