Israeli post modernism, left wing, liberal, soft heartedness is killing the countryReader comment on item: Yossi Klein Halevi: Israel's Withdrawal from Gaza a "Disaster" Submitted by James Burke (Canada), Mar 5, 2008 at 07:17 And by killing their country will put the lives of ALL jews in peril and reduce jews to a wandering tribe of nomads. By succumbing to this guilt angst, something for which they have no reason to be guilty about - something that Golda Meir believed. But Israel has changed. I strongly doubt that if Golda Meir would come back from the dead she would be easily elected. She would most likey win but by a a very very narrow margin. No doubt that her opponent would hire James Carville or some liberal American Jew ( Stanley Cohen or Amy Goodman come to mind) to plan strategy to beat Golda by reaching out to the Israeli Arabs and the Israeli Leftists amongs the Peace Now movement and be promoted by Ha-aretz. But this is modern Israel where they allow Anti Jewish and anti Israel toxic hate to be broadcast within the "occupation" and train palestinian doctors on designing emergency medical services.
