Very informativeReader comment on item: An International Law to Respect Religion? Submitted by Amitabh Tripathi (India), Mar 22, 2008 at 11:32 Respected Dr Pipes, This is really useful information which never come out in the open. Dr Pipes is doing a wonderful job to educate people, as well as giving ammunition of information to intellectulas world wide. This is really interesting development and it endorse idea of global culture of Dr Pipes about which he advocated last year with mayor of London. Dr Pipes does not believe in clash of civilizations and he always favours for a global culture which is based on equal respect of different cultures and religions. This latest development is a positive sign in this regard although it is motivated with some raction but it indicates that followers of Islam also crumble under pressure. Moral of the story is that if you build pressure on islam in general and Islamism in particular proposal of modifications would come from their side( later it would be proposal of modifications in their scriptures as well) . Need of the hour is to put so much pressure on Islam or Islamism from every corner of the world. As some countries of Europe have shown some guts with their uncopromising stand on freedom of expression it is neccessary for other countries to follow them in other way. Those European countries which are more vocal in preservation of their values are able to do this because of their analysis on growing threat of Islamisation of their countries in near future. Other non-muslim countries of this world could also follow the same path very soon but to make this happen one uniform information mechanism should be evolved.
