Respecting religionsReader comment on item: An International Law to Respect Religion? Submitted by Janusz Kowalik (United States), Mar 22, 2008 at 17:17 Religions are false delusions that have caused rivers of blood and human suffering. Many conflicts on the planet have ben and still are fuelled by religious fanaticism and stupidity. How can we respect religions. We can condemn all religions as dangerous delusions but respecting them NO.All holy Abrahamic religion scriptures identify other faiths as false and in some cases call for killing nonbelievers or at least say that all other believers will be burining in hell. How can we have a shred of respect for the three main monotheistic religions. The sooner they will be thrown to garbage containig already Greek religions and hundreds of others the better for humanity. We do not need fairy tales to be peaceful and good citiozens of the world. Afterlife existence is a wishful thinking of fools. who neetd a lie so they can feel better. How can we respect delusion and stupidity that created religions several millenia ago when humans did not know much about reality. The only sane way of knowing the world is thru science and progress in human thinking. Protecting creations of people from the bronze age can be fatal to our health and existence. Analysis of religions is needed, but without assuming that they deserve respect. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
