Moderate MuslimsReader comment on item: Submitted by janusz Kowalik (United States), May 4, 2008 at 18:40 Margaret Hood comment is a perfect example of the poison that religions create . We must understand that Allah as well as the god of Abraham are similar phantasies created by ignorant ancient people who wanted to understand life before science helped in this task.Saying that the god of Abraham is better than Allah is equivalent to saying that Christ walking on water is more likely than Muhammad riding on a winged horse to heaven. Unless we recognize that the only method for knowing the universe is science we will be praying to imaginary gods and happily cutting our neighbors throats to make gods happy. Even if one thinks that the Abrahamic god exists as described in the Old Testament it becomes very clear after reading some fragments of the book that the described god is a psychopath ,cruel killer, and tyran .Worshipping it is totally absurd. Of course Allah is no different. So are hundreds of gods created by humanity in the span of thousands of years.Rejecting all and accepting one is a logical insanity.Who can prove that Zeus does not exist? Pedophils from Vatican or ayatollahs from Iran? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
