I agree completely with what you say in this artcle. However, with me you're preaching to the choir, and this Harkin guy, like so many politicians, seems to be pandering. I don't know what it's going to take to get people to acknowledge the danger that Islamism poses to all of us - maybe more 9-11's.

I was in the Union Square train station on Saturday. On a wall by the police area is a list of those who died in the attack. The list has many Muslim names, yet the response from the Muslim community, leaders, clergy was and continues to be disappointing silence, and this has to be explored. When a Jew (or Jews) commits an outrageous act most other Jews rush to speak out against that person or group and distance themselves from him/her or the group. I see no such thing with the Muslims - on the contrary, the terrorists are their heroes. Perhaps there are some who do condemn the violence caused by their co-religionists and they are afraid to speak out. I don't know, but I'm afraid we don't have the luxury of time to wait to hear from them. Thank you so much for the work you do.
