Assimilation or DominationReader comment on item: A French lesson for Tom Harkin Submitted by Logical Thinker (United Kingdom), Jan 12, 2009 at 17:33 I'm surprised at Mr Tom Harkins' ignorance. I'm sad to see that a major part of Islamic world is in self denial mode. I often speak to so called moderate muslims. They never talk of assimilating. They gloat over some prophecy that the world will one day be converted to one big ummah. How can we talk of assimilation with someone who talks of domination / subjugation? When muslims are in minority, in the name of their religious rights, they demand extra-judicial rights - rights to polygamy, instant divorce, sharia, etc. But in countries where they are a majority, they strip non-muslims of their basic human rights. In UK airports, there are prayer halls for our muslim brothers. These previliges are paid by 'kafirs'. Why can't Saudi govt give same priviliges to non-muslims? Why is there a mosque next to Vatican but no church next to Mecca? Muslims in India have extra-constitutional rights - 4 wives, sharia law for marriage and divorce. Can non-muslims in Pakistan enjoy extra-judicial rights. Most basic right of a human anywhere is to eat. In Gulf, during ramadan, anyone caught eating in public place during fasting period can be imprisoned. Why? Its offensive to Muslims!!! Wow! Eating in public place can be offensive. Calling for rape and murder of Kafirs is not offensive!?! No doubt, some muslims are confused when non-muslims are offended by their blood thirsty protests.
