MORE FACTS ABOUT ISLAM, (as I saw it) . . .Reader comment on item: Anti-Muslim Racism? Submitted by JONI (Australia), Jun 14, 2008 at 03:52 Dear Fellow Christians! As I saw it, living in Saudi Arabia was a very, very dark place. When working as a life guard at the 'Women's Only' Swimming Centre I witnessed intense rivalry amongst muslim women. A British woman, who was also a teacher there was taking a photograph of her teenage daughter (visiting the Kingdom), and thought it was safe to take the picture. Little did this woman know that a couple of Saudi women were secretly taking note of this. Shortly after the Recreation Officer, (a big stouchy looking Sheik), appears and begins yelling and shouting at the British woman and her daughter. He asked for the camera, he opened it up, took out his scissors and began shredding the entire film. I watched as it collapsed into a bag. As he cut the film, he spoke in Arabic to the other Saudi women, and they all laughed and made intimidating remarks in Arabic. I watched, stupefied, shocked and my stomach turned in revolt. Again, I thought of my mother and father, and brother in Australia, and made plans to leave. The next week, at a "Ladies Only Fashion Parade", a film was also confiscated, and shredded in the front of Saudi women, British, American, Australian women. There is always one or two Saudi males who MUST be present at any Women's function. This is a rule in Islam. The young teenage girls would parade down a cat walk with no skin showing. It was amazing, I thought that they were allowed even amongst other women to show their face!!! This was a treat I laughed to myself. After I have had enough of that, a Christmas party, I heard from my husband was to be held at the Univeristy compound. Good, I thought, what a laugh and waste of time that will be. I reluctantly went, after a big dispute with my husband. I was already suffering acute symptoms of anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, and other challenging personality changes. The Christmas party was held undercover, the Saudi were not to know. The decorations were amazing. Strangely, I wondered what was going on. At the airports the custom officials confiscated anything pertaining to christianity, Christmas/Easter decorations, cards, you name it. Here, all this stuff could be purchased at Al Khobar, Dammam, Jubail, in the local cities. Why then, are they so hypocritical and sell Christian supplies? I was gobsmacked. Anyway, the Saudis don't give a ....... about stray dogs and cats. So the westerners have to set up a Society, P.A.W.S. to raise money to help the pets which, sadly, westerners cannot afford to take back when leaving the Kingdom. The parties were always very giving to the cause for lost, abandoned pets. We gave more than we earned, and so did many others. The vets were very generous as well. Their expertise was beyond mention, and I always had no need to panic should one of my cats (out of the 20), ever have a crisis to attend to. I had my own taxi driver, an Egyptian, very professional, a gentleman, I would never have to lift any of the bags after a shopping trip. The tips there are worth it, the drivers deserve it, after what they have to go through in the traffic. The rules there on the road don't exist. Children or adults don't even have to wear a seat belt. I did not have much time to research what the road statistics were, as I did not have the energy to research many other issues whilst living in that WORLD. Yes, my book will be BOLD and BIG. My name will be different. I have more things to say, before I get too old and forget them, wouldn't that be a tragedy? Overall, since being back in Australia, I feel that I haven't even left the middle east. I feel that it is here, right in front of my doorstep! As soon as I step out, (this takes alot of effort!), there are women dress in their abaya and veil, middle eastern men walking around as if they were still in their own country. The women still sit in cars while the men go to the shops, the real fanatics that is. The men still hold long stares if they see a white woman, especially with some skin showing. It certainly helps if more of her body is showing. One of my girlfriends at a college, told me how when she went to pick up her kids from school, something terrible happened. She saw a middle eastern man standing at a tree. He was dressed in his robe and headdress, he began moving his hands up and down, and he took out his genital and began, the 'bad' thing, in the front of this woman and indeed, her children. I told her that she should have reported this incident immediately, but she said she was too shocked. I wonder how much of this goes on 'unreported'. You may wish to note that my girlfriend, is blonde, tall, and very attractive. The taxis are not safe anymore, I wonder why? My t-shirt will read: "I made it out alive, I went to the Middle East!". My other t-shirts will come to mind as I get more and more upset. PLEASE, lobby your politicians against Muslim immigration. The more mosques, and Islamic schools go up, so will their propagation of Islam go up, this is their aim. That is why they refuse to integrate with us because they wish to instill values of the (Koran), and concepts of how, not to, assimilate with Christians. The muslim children do sports in their costumes, in the intense heat, just see it on their websites, it's as sad as watching them in a swimming pool or sea dressed like 'Guiness Bottles', yelling for help because they are not buoyant!!!! Come on, where's the mentality here? All we need is more mosques, more Islamic schools, why is the 'I' in capital? If Christians were to even think of building a church in their country, we would be punished, and you know what that would be! Let's get down to basics, keep the Faith of Jesus Christ, and let us all help eachother in this world which will be as the HOLY BIBLE says, not as the Koran says. I AM NOT A RACIST, I SUFFER FROM ISLAMOPHOBIA, SISTER OF ZENOPHOBIA, and so I should after living amongst Arabs, suffering, while they tried, each day, to convert me to Islam, against my will, and chanted around me! If the Muslims are not happy with us being Christian in their country, why don't we ask them to convert in our country? What a good idea that would be, and to also wear 'our' clothes, and not resemble backward time machines? I'm very angry and I have to finish off now, I just saw a black 'Guiness Bottle' walking past my window, have to pull the blinds. They're called 'Spooks' in the dark, even more frightening.
