Acceptable solution to Islam?

I believe you are 100% right. Giving in would only encourage them because they would indeed view that as a weakness. All Ego driven societies view that as a weakness. Their goal is now and always has been Muslim dominance. Maybe if we all convert to Islam, that would solve the conflicts in the Middle East. Right? Well, maybe not. Muslim on Muslim violence is very high also. So Maybe we should all convert to one specific type of Islam. That would solve the problem, right? Well, maybe not. Tribe vs Tribe and Clan vs Clan violence is very high also. So what is the Solution? There is only one solution and it isn't going to happen.

Man was given the key to the Kingdom and chose to ignore it. In psychological terms, the Ego is the problem. Not just individual Ego, but the Ego of the Tribe, Clan, nation, and any other Group. The Ego drives us apart and is the key to conflict. Wide is the Gate and Broad is the way that leads to destruction. This "Gate and Way" is the Ego, the path most humans take because they fail to choose the "Narrow" path and the straight way which is to align oneself with the Universal Creative force within that leads to harmony. This applies to the vast majority of humans who have populated the earth since this iteration of humanity began. The liklihood of changing the direction of civilization is slim.

In the Bible if you substitute Ego for Satan it will all make sense.
