One more reason for withdrawalReader comment on item: Sharon Loses His Way On Israeli 'Settlements' Submitted by Boris Frenkel (United States), Feb 12, 2004 at 21:10 Dear Dr. Pipes,I feel that you forget to mention another reason supporting the idea of Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and West Bank. Some Palestinians threaten that if Israel keeps settlements in place, they may accept total integration of Palestine under Israel's rule and eventually win the whole state of Israel by increasing the Palestinian population and becoming a majority. Some supporters of withdrawal in Israel are afraid that the growth of Arab population will cause Israel to lose its Jewish identity and destroy the country. Do you think preservation of Jewish identity of the state of Israel is good enough reason to get out of the territories ASAP?

No one is talking about the Muslim residents of Gaza becoming citizens of Israel.<< Previous Comment Next Comment >> Reader comments (21) on this item
