So what?

So what if Muslims don't like Valentine's Day? While I deplore physical assaults on students who told their girlfriends "Happy Valentine's Day", Muslims are entitled to stick to their religion--as long as they respect my right to stick to mine.

Lots of us traditionalist Reformed Christians and other Evangelicals/Fundamentalists (Christians, mind you) won't celebrate Christmas and Easter, for their spiritual forebears saw that such holidays were not mandated in Scripture, and concluded that they were only ways for the Roman Catholic clergy to extract a little more out of simple people.
