Islam May Get Its Moment on Earth - But the King of Kings, King of Israel, Son of David, Moves Only According to the WORD of the LORD in the Holy BibleReader comment on item: Appease Iran? Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 27, 2008 at 15:29 In this late frame of time, there is precious little real time to explain what early Roman Christianity failed to do when, in the tone and vein of your response, they made things so difficult to understand, that they did the work of the Adversary for him, to cover in complex deceit the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your further the antipathy your have for the simple truth of the Gospel by making the same mistake all do who try and place the responsibility of an unbelievers lack of faith on a disciple of Jesus Christ. Nowhere in the scriptures does Jesus Christ give the ability to ‘damn' anyone to anywhere. That is reserved to Almighty God the Father, who by the way is the only one who can forgive sins, which power and authority, by the way, reside in Jesus Christ, His Son. The issues you speak of do come from a time of the first commentaries on scriptural things, and it is this reader's view that all commentaries that try to make more complex the simplicity of the truth of the Holy Bible are in danger of providing that corruption you and so many others assert are the fault of the Holy Bible, when in fact it is in the commentaries of so many who try to ‘interpret' scripture, they do it violence of words, which eventually brings violence to support the corrupted claim. The ‘Nicene Creed', or any creed not found in the inerrant Word of the LORD as found in the Holy Bible, is suspect. Without such scriptural basis, it is merely the words of a people trying to be spiritual without having the Holy Spirit leading them. Now in the circumstance of quoting unbelievers in trying to dispel the faith of true believers, therein lies the fallacy of your arguments. Of course they can provide you with the fodder of the Adversary, whose very first act in being sent out of heaven was to whisper those fateful words to the woman, ‘did God really say?' Then she goes to the man, who should have known better since he walked with Almighty God in the garden, and took those fateful steps of unbelief we are so susceptible to in our sins. It is for that reason of sinful men, women and children that Jesus Christ was sent by Almighty God the Father for the salvation of mankind. That is the crux of the Gospel, no matter what the early commenters felt that they had to elaborate upon. Now, as this relates to Muslims, it is a simple issue of unbelief in Jesus Christ as to Who He really is. Unless there is a differing version of the beginning of Islam, it has been said that the Islamic Prophet did not read or write, that task being delegated to dedicated followers. So it stands to reason, he did not have the ability to read the scriptures for himself. In that time, Christianity (the same Christianity that acceded to the ‘Nicene Creed') had fallen prey to the various interpretations abounding in the 6th and 7th centuries, including the Judaic insertions that Jesus was merely a rabbi, at best, or a discredited messianic hoax. This is the information available to the Islamic Prophet and his followers at the time of his visitation. It is no wonder then that they thought it corrupted, for the people of the time dismissed the simple Gospel and replaced it with the lies of the Adversary. I will not trade comparisons of Gospel truths and the corrupted plagiarisms you try to use to make a point, for it too engages in the duplicitous efforts to make the Gospel more difficult than it really needs to be. You imply that I would overuse the simplicity of the Gospel; I do and here it is. Jesus Christ, Son of David, Son of Man, Son of God, born of a virgin in Nazareth, preached the WORD of the LORD, performed miracles to validate His fulfillment of the prophets as to Who He is, was rejected by the rulers of the Sanhedrin and put to death under Roman authority for the remission of our sin debt, died on the cross to make that payment with His blood, rose from the dead for our justification in faith in Him, then ascended to the right hand of Almighty God, to await the time that is just now upon us for His return to rule in Jerusalem. Note: He actually prayed to the Father for the possibility of a different way to prove His love, recognizing in Himself from the time of the origination of the plan in eternity, that there really was no other way that would be holy. As to whom Jesus Christ was speaking when it came down to those claiming to be Christians while trying to get into heaven, of course there would be many thinking that if they did things in His name they would somehow buy their way into heaven. Only true disciples in Him, those who have a personal relationship and are held in the power of the Holy Spirit, are to be found faithful to Him and have permission to be in His presence. Now earlier in your dissertation, you try to dismiss the presence of the Holy Spirit in the teaching of Jesus Christ, and in doing so, dismiss the very possibility of understanding what the Holy Bible has witnessed. Of course the Holy Spirit is not present while the unbelieving world is still in the old testament time prior to the crucifixion. It is because there is order in what Almighty God does and Jesus Christ is still there at that time for His mission. The Holy Spirit is sent after the resurrection as the communicator for all holy things as Jesus has said. To make more of that again complicates the simple beauty of His truth. The key is LISTENING to JESUS CHRIST, and not the musings of men and women. This could go on, but since it is my intention to clarify why the Gospel of Jesus Christ is distinct and separate from the teachings of Islam, and no amount of blurring the lines between the two will ever achieve the idea that Islam can replace the truth of the Holy Bible, we can say this. Israel is now at the crossroads spoken of by the true prophets of the LORD in the Holy Bible, and while you and others make your unsubstantiated claims that you wait for the messiah, it is Israel who will truly be glad when Yeshua HaMashiach makes Himself known to the true disciples of faith. HIS WORD OF PROPHECY IN THE HOLY BIBLE IS BEING FULFILLED EVEN AS THIS IS BEING WRITTEN, BUT FOR LACK OF FAITH IN THE TRUE MASHIACH, NO ONE CAN SEE HIS APPROACH. HE IS KNOCKING ON THE DOOR OF EVERY HEART WHO WILL LISTEN AND ASKS TO BE LET IN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR HEART BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. YOU KNOW ENOUGH SCRIPTURE THAT IF YOU OPEN UP TO HIM, HE WILL ENTER AND SHOW YOU THE TRUTH, ONLY AS IT CAN BE FOUND IN THE HOLY BIBLE.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
