Your last sentence is very telling. You hold up the marriage of humans and animals as something so disgusting and repugnant that you use it for dramatic effect in speaking of the "excesses" of "moral base."

I remember as a kid growing up with the same disgust and repugnant feelings for the gay life. As soon as you let go of the standard for moral life, you open up the eventual demise of all morality. Once the foundation is lost, everything becomes possible with time.

The ACLU fights for the rights of men to own child pornagraphy. Do you see an end in sight? We look at our own limited lifetimes and fail to see the gradual slide of anything based on truth.

I've seen a lot of ground lost in my 62 years on this earth. You can't imagine the acceptance of marriage between humans and animals? Beastial sex has been around for a long time. What makes you think that the next step isn't already hiding behind someone's personal "right" to live whatever life they want behind closed doors? It disgusts you and myself to even contemplate it, but, again, we used to think the same about a lot of things that are now common practice. One day's fantasy behind closed doors becomes tomorrow's out front lifestyle.

There is always someone bold enough to step outside a society's versions of acceptable practice. The human population has come to value people simply for their boldness to step outside the norm regardless of where that may lead. Caution has been thrown to the winds of an ever more wildly flexing moral base.

There have been times in man's history when the worship of someone's god was expressed through one's sacrificing their own children to the lunacy of a "fire god". Incest has been common throughout many of history's past nations. Father - child, mother - child, you name it.

You expect the society of our own lifetimes to adhere to our own versions of some sanity in the moral realm. Once the foundation has been dismissed as "fantasy", "myth", or "folklore", all things become possible with time.

I see some recent revelations on various TV history channels of past worshipped heroes in stage, song, and screen and how they really lived secretly. What makes you think we are worshipping current "heroes" and "heroines" who have not strayed beyond acceptable norms? Unabated attainment of wealth and power leads to lifestyles that have no reigns whatsoever.

The "realities" of computer generated fantasies expressed through someone's wildest imaginings become someone's future lifestyle. Those computer images are "rights" to one's own personal space. Eventually they get played out in reality.

To think that "reason" and "common sense" will prevail is wishful thinking. Those two qualities shift with time. "Common sense" is just that - common. "Common" is re-defined on an almost daily base at an increasingly accelerated pace.

We have the first crumblings of an earthly power house (the U.S.) crumbling under our feet. The rumblings are felt throughout a densely packed planet. Every twitch of every nerve has far reaching implications.

Power is going to be increasingly thrown about with disastrous results. There's no stopping a run-away freight train headed down hill whether it's right or wrong by whoever's standards. Petty grievences amongst small people with great power will have massively inflated consequences.

So, which fantasy of moral boundaries do you, any of you, subscribe to? Everyone's right to do whatever they please? Oh, I know, there is "commonly" acceptable rules of decorum. Surely common sense will prevail? Who's "common sense" would we be talking about? Perhaps some wealthy oil sheik in the Middle East who is offended by truth, or some new and wealthy pro ball player's instinctual ghetto sense of right or wrong? Maybe some Hollywood actor who "acts" intelligent or has multiple talents, but has no "base". Perhaps some pseudo intellectual with professorial credentials, or anyone of a number of people who smile at cameras and tinkle glasses at cocktail parties where heavily made up and plastic faces rule desire? Or, consider the deliverers of what America deludes itself into thinking are our "news" reporters.

We all worship something and act accordingly. What do you worship, and base your "morally" lead lifestyle on?
