Defending USA :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

Concerning the Liberty, I believe that no nation dependent upon another would attempt to bomb its known friend. However to reply to one Liberty comment, that Americans defend Americans, the UN requires that American soldiers are, if ordered to do so by a commanding officer, required to don the UN "uniform" or regalia, and Lieutenant Michael New lost his case when he refused to do so saying he was "an American soldier". There is a problem, for New was entirely correct in saying he was an American soldier.
