No-state solution

After several re-readings of Daniel Pipes' posts on the subject, I think it's a solid, viable solution.

Palestinians have long ago, in my opinion, squandered, by any stretch of the imagination the possibility of a Palestinian state.

I think Egyptian take-over of Gaza will be the tougher nut to crack; not because of Gazans, but because of Egyptians; first, how long will it take after the water, electricity, etc. is shut off by Israel before Egypt steps in (I can see the U.N. getting the "generators" ready) and how bad will Egypt look when their own police forces have to employ the same not-too-cozy tactics they use in Egypt, to keep the Muslim Brotherhood contained, on Gazans.

It would be great to see Egypt get a bit of bad press, for a change - and have it be deserved, as well.
