GORDAN, PRECISE ON TV VULGARITIES, BUT MYSOGYNISTIC IN FAULTINESSReader comment on item: The Democrats and Israel Submitted by DEBORAH THE JUDGE-(NEW HAMPSHIRE) (United States), Jan 22, 2009 at 22:19 Your disgust is appreciated in regard to the "everything goes" theme on British television, but don't justify US programming because the sitcoms, soaps, evening programs, and' in your face 'Viagra commercials 'at 8pm are filled with liberal vulgarities and unnecessary blantant verbage. What is unacceptable in your analysis is the typical misogynistic leanings of blame. What is an omniscient woman? Why should a son not take the esteemed wisdom of a tough righteous Mother? Or is it only admired for a male to receive advice from the fatherfigure; you must remember the 1950's show "Father knows best?" Not "Mother knows best." Do you not know where the ignoramous term "sissy" comes from? It is derived from "sister" or in other words, a condescending term for certain stereotypes of men and or systems as you referred. It is just as putrid to hear a girl referred to as "Tomboy." You see the real feminine characterists to me are those that represent God-fearing and fearlessness, unyielding and unbending to wickedness, hard working, focused, strength of character, widsom in all assessments and independence in thought and deed, not easily coerced or swayed, and yes demonstrative in battle, both in earthly war and spiriual (Christian) warfare. A real Mother is the other leader/disciplinarian/role model to both sexes of her beloved children! It's simply an insult to assume that if a woman (excluding teens) is raising her children alone due to widowhood, divorce, or pre-marital conception, the offspring will invariably turn out to be thugs, gangsters, dilinquents. Gutless stereotypical females produce the dregs of societies. Perhaps these are the exceptions seen on UK television, which by the way, is usually what we also see in America. However there has been a bizarre twist of theme from movies to cartoons to make up for the dominant , or as you state, 'omniscient woman" figure and that has been to remove the mother from the plot and leave the children in the supposedly more capable raising style of a single father. i.e. "The Lion King", "Chicken Little", "Finding Nemo", "I Carly", "Two Guys", "Full House" etc. etc. And concerning the news/media tactics of placating an insidiously evil agenda to tear down truth and justice in America, just look at the "entity" and it's ilk in the While House. We are all in a downward spiral awaiting mass chaos created in the bowels of the middle east, and Israel is never going to be portrayed accurately as the assaulted one by those Saudi/Jordanian so-called Palestinians. Do middle eastern women/mothers even remotely represent my definition of real feminine characteristics? You shall know them by their fruit.
