Right on!Reader comment on item: Ahmadinejad or Mousavi? Submitted by SUsan Warner (United States), Jun 20, 2009 at 07:23 I think that Mr. Pipes original comment about how he favored Ahmadinejad as president of Iran was both amusing and right on target. His perception that we would be lulled into a sleep by anyone other than a flaming radical Islamist I believe proves itself to be true in other international venues as well. I think it is because the Western world is basically asleep, thinking or not and in a fantasy world that if everything is just left alone it will go away. Moderatees just don't seem to hack it in these days. We need a Messiah figure to do everything we are too weak, too comfy, too powerless to do ourselves. Thus we are open to the vilest and most disgusting leaders who will do what we are too lazy to even think about. Mr. Obama is a good case in point. His Messiahship will last until our entire way of life has been ripped open and transformed into a steaming cauldron of socialism and indebtedness, leaving a gaping door open for a military junta to restore law and order . Bless you Mr Pipes. Keep going. Somebody needs to say it. www.israelolivetree.org Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
