1.8 Million Christians converting to Islam because they actually believe in it makes me laugh, but 1.8 million converting because money issues, pressure, social climbing, promotions, threats, to divorce ,to marry several women….etc. makes more sense.Reader comment on item: Distinguishing between Islam and Islamism Submitted by Loonymango (Egypt), Jun 23, 2009 at 15:59 Apostasy in Islam (Ertedad) Wake up and stop living in denial there are hundreds of thousands of Muslims converting to Christianity everyday the difference is that they do not declare it in public as they fear for their lives. So they remain in front of their community as a Muslim but in their heart of hearts they are Christians and just waiting for the chance to flee their country safely. To read the story of such Muslims visit this link http://www.muslimjourneytohope.com/watch.asp You see Islam permits the killing of a Muslim if he changes his faith and becomes a "kafer" as they believe it is better for him to die a Muslim than to die as a Christian or a Jew. They act as if God is weak and needs someone to stop the Muslim from converting. Because he is unable himself. (This doesn't make sense to me because in his heart he has already rejected Islam, so he will still die as a "kafer" and go to heaven….loll) So in fact there are Muslims converting to Christianity daily. I can not give you the exact number due to the reason mentioned above, but I remember loosing count after 53 million. You see Islam is the Religion of freedom of choice, such hypocrisy. You are actually contradicting yourselves. In Christianity: If you choose to change your faith or become an atheist it is your loss, but Jesus Christ will still love you and wait for your return like the prodigal son. Christ says: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20) To read more about Apostasy in Islam (Ertedad) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy_in_Islam#Execution 1.8 Million Christians converting to Islam because they actually believe in it makes me laugh, but 1.8 million converting because money issues, pressure, social climbing, promotions, threats, to divorce ,to marry several women….etc. makes more sense. To understand my point: please read the next paragraphs 1) Isalm: At the end of every Friday prayer the sheik prays to Allah asking him to bless Muslim men and Muslim women and May Allah yatem atfal al yahood wal nasara, wa sharad nesa2ahom…… etc. I'm sure you've heard this many times at your local mosque. "Oh Lord may the Christian's and Jews' children be orphans and their wives be homeless" See how Islam is so loving to others of different faith?! -Christianity: While in every Christian mass "specially in Coptic Odas" the priest and the people pray to God to bless the president(even though he is a Muslim), the Pop .etc…..Widows, orphans, the poor, the sick, the peasants(el falaheen),the land ,the crop…..etc Notice that we don't say Christian orphans or Christian widows, that means we are praying for Christians and Muslims even though Muslims are cursing us in their prayers. NOW that's Christianity…!! 2) Islam has 99 names for Allah (which are considered Allah's characteristics) 26. AL-MUZILL - The Dishonorer. He who lowers and puts one in abasement and degradation. 81. AL-MUNTAQIM - The Avenger. He who punishes wrong doers. The word love does not exist in Islam (It is not even mentioned once) -Christianity While in the Bible ……. GOD IS LOVE, unconditional love to all human being regardless of origin, colour, gender, etc In the bible the word love (God's love for us and our love for him) is mentioned more than 500 times in just the New Testament. The most famous verses are: "God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him" (1 Jn 4:16). These words express with remarkable clarity the heart of the Christian faith: the Christian image of God and the resulting image of mankind and its destiny. "You shall love your neighbour as yourself" (19:18; cf. Mk 12:29-31). Again it did not say your "Christian" neighbour, just "neighbour" of any faith. Bible (new testimony) after Jesus was born: Love your enemy as much as you love yourself, unconditionally forgive all people who try to harm you. Love each other as much as I (Jesus) love you. 3) Quran says: -killing is permitted when it is JUST -Islam permits the killing of a Muslim if he changes his faith and becomes a "kafer" as they believe it is better for him to die a Muslim than to die as a Christian or Jew. (This doesn't make sense to me because in his heart he has already rejected Islam, so he will still die as a kafer and go to heaven….loll) _ The killing of non-Muslims is accepted such as the 9/11 attacks (even though NOW they disapprove of the attacks, distance themselves &claim that these attacks were done by Muslim extremists who misunderstood Islam. But I remember that day 9/11 I watched CNN and the BBC they showed the reactions of regular Muslims in the streets of Arab countries, they were all hugging, rejoicing and saying "Allho Akbar" means praise to God and not one tear was shed for the thousands of innocent people killed. That's Islam for you As Isaac Asimov (1920-1992) wrote in "Foundation": Violence, the last refuge of the incompetent. -Christianity: If you choose to change your faith it is your loss, but he will still love you and wait for your return such as the prodigal son……….BUT no killing. "Thou Shall Not Kill" Exodus 20:13 4) Islam: Muhammad preached for 20 years. Islam spread (By the edge of the sword as they say) By wars lead by "Muhammad"himself at first and then by "Al Kholafa Al Rashedeen" his successors. They would invade any country who did not accept Islam. Hence the well known phrase "Islam Taslam" which means be a Muslim to avoid harm. And Even if their king accepted Islam they would invade and force the citizens to become Muslims, those who were rich paid a monthly fee to remain Christians and those who were poor died for their faith as in EGYPT. FACT: Sudan was one of the countries who were asked to accept Islam. The Christian King refused and sent him a gift of piece which was a slave girl (gareya) called Coptic Mary. Muhammad was satisfied and later took her to his bed. Does this sound like a holy prophet to you?! -Christianity: Jesus preached about Christianity for just 3.5 years. It spread by The 12 Disciples-yes just 12 simple men- who preached to the world Jesus said to them "Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money—not even an extra tunic. 4Whatever house you enter, stay there, and leave from there. 5Wherever they do not welcome you, as you are leaving that town shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.' (Luke 9:3-5) You see they had God on their side, so they didn't need any armies like other religions. Note: The simple Fact that the 53 year old Muhammad was married to a 9 year old girl called Aisha along with several other wives. "Narrated 'Urwa: The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six year old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death). Bukhari vol.7 book 62 ch.60 no.88 p.65 Last but not least: Jesus Muhammad Death Jesus died and rose from the dead Muhammad died and stayed dead. Fighting Jesus never fought Muhammad fought many many times Hearing from God When Jesus heard from God he went to the desert to be tempted and began his ministry with boldness, (Mark 1:14-15). When Muhammad heard from God (supposedly through an angel) he cowered, was uncertain, and wanted to commit suicide (Quran 74:1-5) Instructions Received From God the Father (John 5:19) Allegedly from an angel Killing Jesus never killed anyone Muhammad killed many Life Jesus had the power to take life, but never did. He restored it. Muhammad had the power to take it, but he never restored it. No one ever died in Jesus' presence Many people died in Muhammad's presence -- he killed them. Marriage Jesus never married Muhammad had over 20 wives and even married a nine year old girl. Ministry Jesus received his calling from God directly (Matt. 3:17). Jesus received his commission in the daylight Muhammad allegedly received it from an angel (Gabriel) Muhammad received his words in the darkness of a cave. Ministry Length Jesus taught for 3 1/2 years Muhammad taught for more than 20 years Miracles Jesus performed many miracles including healing people, calming a storm with a command, and raising people from the dead. Muhammad's only alleged miracle was the Quran. Prophecy Jesus fulfilled biblical prophecy about being the Messiah Muhammad did not fulfill any biblical prophecy except the ones about false teachers (Matt. 24:24). Sacrifice Jesus voluntarily laid his life down for others Muhammad saved his own life many times and had others killed. Sin Jesus never sinned (1 Pet. 2:22) Muhammad was a sinner (Quran 40:55; 48:1-2) Slaves Jesus owned no slaves Muhammad owned slaves. Virgin Birth Jesus was virgin born Muhammad was not virgin born. Voice of God Jesus received and heard the direct voice of God (Mark 1:10-11) Muhammad did not receive or hear the direct voice of God. It was an angel instead. Women Jesus spoke well of women Muhammad said women were 1/2 as smart as men (Hadith 3:826; 2:541), that the majority in hell will be women (Had. 1:28,301; 2:161; 7:124), and that women could be mortgaged. In now way possible can you convince me that Muhammad is holy in any kind of way. Submitting....
