The Message is Clear Indeed-Why Iraq Cannot Function Under an American Style Democracy

The message is clear enough, yet it is not the one the previous writer seems to understand. While it may be supposed that the withdrawal of the American led military presence will signal to Islamic aligned forces that their opportunity to disrupt and discourage any after effects of American style democracy, it is that exact result that proves once and for all the misaligned radical Islamic thinking that death and destruction is preferable to the freedoms and liberties properly enjoyed by a society properly governed with a morally and ethically governed people. While conceding that such things in the United States are under a severe challenge these last days, the premise upon which the United States of America was originally founded provides the basis for the model under which such freedoms and liberties work best.

The loss is not merely the lesson to be learned that peace could have been achieved if there was a proper understanding of what is offered in freedom to all who are affected. Such things are sullied by more mercenary ideologies, in Iraq being Islamically based, as well as any other misdirected religious followings not underwritten by the truth of the Holy Bible. But Iraq is not left behind as a democratic society; the sectarian bickering will see to that. Instead, Iraq will follow its current Islamic influenced path to a society that will be required to submit to sharia, not in freedom, but like in Iran, in subservient obedience to the dictates of an oligarchic religious institution incapable of understanding what it means to govern a free people.

Therein lies the message, and the tragedy, of the failure of the American presence in an Islamic Iraq to demonstrate what freedom really means. It is because the freedoms to live a morally Christian life came from Biblically based Christian ideals (something many have abused in America and are now facing the consequences from such abuse), which is the same thing Islamic fundamentalists will never, never, acknowledge.
