CAIR's Phony Petition - Islam is IllegalReader comment on item: CAIR's Phony Petition [about Nick Berg] Submitted by Tim Cresswell (United States), Jul 14, 2004 at 11:42 Daniel Pipes, ever a champion for reason and civilization in a world of tolerance for the most intolerable religion since the Thuggees of India, provides valuable insight in his article: "CAIR's Phony Petition".Many of his points are difficult to argue with, however, the purpose and impact of the petition is glossed over a little too easily. Muslims are aware of the petition and its plain meaning. I doubt most will analyze it to the point DP has, even in the Mosques. So let us not lose sight of the fact that it constitutes genuine counterinfluence to the glorification and even deification of the hooded murderers. The petition is most definitely a positive step. That having been said, I hope CAIR will adopt some of DP's suggestions and put out a reward, or at least glorify muslim supporters of decency and citizenship who refuse to remain silent after witnessing heinous murders. This, I fear, is an indefensible position for a muslim to take. The Quran is quite explicit and clear about its unrelenting war against the world and its commandments to murder (as defined in international secular laws). To stop the "terrorists" would be to oppose their own bible, the Quran - nothing less. Islam does NOT mean "peace". Literally translated, it means "pacification". Pacification means peace, but only under Islam's terms and by the sword if necessary. Its a new context for an old objective: CONQUEST! Because India's Thuggees strangled people to appease their god, it was declared illegal by the British Empire and wiped out. Child sacrifice religions are illegal and are prosecuted as murder. So what makes Islam different? Quran. Sura 9:5, "Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war." Sura 5:33, If Islam is resisted "Their punishment is … execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from the opposite sides, or exile from the land." Sura 9:73, "Prophet, make war on unbelievers and hypocrites, and deal rigorously with them." Sura 8:59, "Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away … strike terror into the enemy of God and your enemy… rouse the faithful to arms!" Sura 5:49, "If they reject your judgment, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge them for their sins." Sura 17:60 "There is no city which we will not destroy before the day of Resurrection, or chastise it with a grievous chastisement. This is written in the Book." I do not understand the term: "Militant Islam" or "Muslim Extremists". These are people who simply take their Quran seriously. Militancy and Extremism are by varying degrees. Who, then, is and isn't militant or extreme? Where is the line drawn? There is no line. Belief in Islam is what it is, a belief in a systematic pacification of the world under the conditions dictated by Islam.
