OLIVER WHAT ARE YOU DOING!???Reader comment on item: On Islam and Islamism Submitted by Seamus Dafydd Dives MacNemi (United States), Oct 26, 2009 at 01:54 Do you seek to excuse the Romans and again to wash their hands of the blood of innocent Jews? Do you seek to deny the corruption of Herods court and the perversion of the preisthood under the Roman occupation? Do you seek to deny the robberies of the Money lenders? Do you deny the rampant crime in the towns and cities brought about by the corrupt Roman procurate? Do you deny that the Roman tax collectors deliberately set out to inpoverish the people in order to keep them docile, on the order of Caesar? Do you deny the generations of deliberate denial of the true religious expressions of the people? Don't you know that the "CROSS" is a symbol of Jewish humiliation and Roman triumphalism. That Jeshua was crucified to demonstrate to the Jews that they were impontent and that Rome was all powerful and that therefore their G-D was not what they thought HIM to be? The Romans, like the Greeks before them, deliberately sought to destroy the religion of the Jews and their belief in the G-D of Israel. After the destruction of the Temple they went ahead to anhialate every last vestige of the religion of the Jews. Thus they attacked the remnant of the faifhful at Massada and we all know how that turned out. The things you claim for Yeshua are the emblem of the whole people and that is what Isiah meant in his prophecies. It was not to Yeshua alone that he did refer but to the whole people of Israel. To this day have the whole people suffered for the sake of this deliberate misrepresentation of the Tanach. This is the hand work of Rome. Why do you hold to it? Leave Rome and return to the people for the religion must serve the people and not the people serve the religion. Rome serves only Rome and it has never served the people. Yeshua came to serve the people and not to rule over them. Thus did he willingly give his life for the people. It was not the people who demanded his crucifiction, it was the Roman/ Jewish collaborators who had become fat and complacent in their corruptions and perversions. Your whole book is a denial of the people. It seeks to rob them of their legitimacy and to enslave them to an institution which was illegitimate from its inception. It does not seek to teach or to instruct them in the ways of wisdom but rather it is a deliberate attempt to part them from the true way as taught by the tradition. Satan has no place in the Jewish tradition and that idea has no place amongst my own folk. We do not accept any idea of any supernatural evil power that we can have no control over. We hold that man and man alone is the author of all that is evil in the world and that it is man and man alone who must be responsible for changing HIMSELF! The tradition gives give specific directions for bringing about this change. It is because you have abandoned the tradition that you are plagued by imaginary devils and imaginings of supernatural powers of evil. It is only when you finally accept responsibility for your own life and stop giving your power of decision over to others that you will truly be free and not until. It is not a sin to make mistakes. The sin lies in being too arrogant and strubborn to admit your mistakes and not taking pains to correct them before they become a liability. The sin lies in refusing to make amends thereby perpetuating and exacerbating the sin and its effects. Two wrongs do not make a right. If you murder somebody no amount of forgiveness can bring back that person to life and no amount of forgiveness can restore to the family of that person that which you have taken away. As well, no amount of forgiveness can erase the scar on your soul. That you will have to live with for the rest of your life. Our tradition teaches that each soul, when it enters this life, is given a book and in this book all of the deeds of that soul in this life are recorded. At the end of life the book is opened and all of the deeds of that soul are judged. Every incident, every event in that souls life is recorded in exquisite detail and nothing is left out. The book is weighed on a scale at the end of life and a weight added for every deliberate error which goes uncorrected. If the book is judged to be heavier than the accepted limit that soul has to return and make amends for each sin. Most people go through life without aquiring much weight of sin and they will automatically be accepted amongst the angels. Those people who upset the balance are the ones who will pay. We do not believe that man is born in sin as you do. Therefore we do not believe that a child has to be baptised into the church in order to be delivered from the sin of Adam. We believe that a child, when it is born, is a clean slate with only those impulses necessary for life. Evil is something learned and not something inate in the nature of man. We absolutely reject the teachings of Paul in this respect as well as the teachings of Augustine. The words of these men have no place in our religion. Indeed, we absolutely reject the whole of the Council of Nicea and their formulated doctrines of worship. We will not pray in the name of Yeshua and neither will we bow before him in our prayers. We will have no image of him in our houses of worship or in our homes. Such images we consider to be idol worship. Neither will we hold the cross as sacred. To us it is an image and reminder of our humiliation and degradation. For us it is idolitry and blasphemy of the worst kind.
