The Net Assault on American Soveregnty art. No.2020Reader comment on item: [Election Monitors:] The Next Assault on American Sovereignty Submitted by S.C.Panda (India), Aug 17, 2004 at 03:18 Dear Prof Pipes,I consider this is a very important letter. This touches upon "Liberal Democracy vs. Translational Progressivism" and consequent diminution of State Sovereignty. The USA is a liberal democracy within its territory but has consistently supported military dictatorships around the world and Pakistan is a case in point. When the USA evinces keen interest in monitoring election in other nations, why the same principle is not applicable to itself?
