Reader comment on item: [Election Monitors:] The Next Assault on American Sovereignty
in response to reader comment: Betrayal

Submitted by Ryan F. Wildfang (United States), Mar 14, 2006 at 19:50

The U.S. is not and has never been a democracy. We are a Republic. Repeat the pledge of Allegiance I proudly recited in elementary school.

Capitalists have taken heed of too many of Marx's teachings. Marx talked about class consciousness. The status quo has prevented the masses from realizing that big businesses exploit the workers for centuries. I perceive that we will continue to be distracted by everything that does not truly matter, and we are farther from ever realizing the truth.

We need to understand that politicians manipulate symbols and words in order to attain their positions. Following the election, special interest groups persuade the elect to vote. The votes that are cast are paid for. This is not democracy, communism, or any other word. This is unfair.

Republicans and Democrats both have had their chances. The trend continues. The gap between the poor and rich grow.

The only difference between Democrats and Republicans is the spelling.

I am not a communist; however, I know why history lessons taught us that Communism is teriible. They wanted Americans to refuse to believe anything that Karl Marx wrote about. The status quo fears that the workers realize that the capitalists use, abuse, and snicker at the working man. If the masses collaborate, then revolution occurs.

The status quo utilizes various forms of media that misinform, distract, and anger the population. Fear, envy, and distust are the ingredients for the recipe that promotes division. Terrorism, identity theft, material possessions, scandals, and others. Read, watch, and listen.

How long would peace last without alcohol and Prozac?

If all of the people that make less than $100, 000 per year would unite and vote, then we could lawfully vote the jokers in office out that serve less than 5% of the population.

United we stand, I guess this is why we have fallen into the hands of Capitalists.
