Skewed perspectiveReader comment on item: Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World Submitted by Alain Jean-Mairet (Switzerland), Apr 16, 2010 at 01:41 Nazism was successfully fought against by the West, also based on Christian values. It was never fought against by Muslims as such. All Islam can offer to stop Islamists' war against the Jews is dhimmitude (and only after the eradication of Israel of course). In the West, Nazism is anathema and is only represented by a fringe. In Islam, Islamism is a powerful force, probably even the most powerful one today and certainly the one force that has led to Islam's success at its origins. And (or because) it feeds quite directly in the most common forms of Islam. The Sunnah shows a Muslim prophet resolutely opposed to the Jews, who he (is supposed to have) chased and massacred by the hundreds (killed with his own hands as they were powerless). The first and clearest meaning of (almost) all the mentions of the Jews in the Koran is hateful against them. And only twists and long explanations based on non explicit elements can lead to think that this hatred was directed at "some bad" Jews only. The Koran has not a single verse to state clearly such a distinction, whereas it explicitly condemns the searching for interpretations of unclear verses. Thus in a reasonable debate among good experts of the Koran, the Islamists' stance is easily winning. For all intents and purposes, it would be a less effort to prove (to Muslims) that Islam is a scam (which is moreover quite certainly the truth) than to convince them that it is not what has been interpreted by the largest majority of colleges in history and that its present aggressiveness comes from some bad influence from the outside. Islamism is a bad thing, worse than Communism and Nazism taken together. For God's sake. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
