O' JerusalemReader comment on item: The Palestinian Authority Celebrates Terrorists Who Killed Israelis Submitted by Jay1 (United States), May 22, 2010 at 16:04 Dr Pipes points out good food for thought. As the negotiations unfold between Israel and the Palestinians, surely the division of Jerusalem will come up.What Israel should know,is that all East Jerusalem streets, buildings and squares will be named as the Palestinians so choose. Their Herzl will be Arafat. One has to wonder if Palestine now people, including the leftists in Israel, can or have imagined large parts of final East Jerusalem, bearing names from the Grand Mufti of the twenties, to more modern day car bombers. What if a park area is named Mufti Hitler square? What if there are celebratory fireworks in the new East Jerusalem of Palestine for Arafat, the Grand Mufti, car bombers, catastrophe day(as the Palestinians call it) Sadaam Hussein,or the anniversary of 9/11?Will the Palestinians claim free speech? Will they say of cource we want to celebrate after him,or her,or that? And what will the Palestine now people and leftists in Israel say for not imagining this? Its worth factoring into the negotiations at least for the sake of O'Jerusalem. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
