You're speaking for Canada & not the U.S., right? Because if what I've heard about European Jews is true, my attitude is "NO THANKS!" as we already have enough Leftist Jews of our own to contend w/ & damned sure DON'T need any more. Given Canada's generally Leftist bent, be our guest & take all that want to come, but be advised that doing so will REALLY upset the Islamists & their non-Muslim Leftist allies who permeate your society!

Gawd, what supercilious prigs they are! And the Canadians who deign to make an appearence are just as bad & often worse. Must be something about having predominate Anglo-Saxon genes that makes them so 'lordly'. But then what explains the French attitude? We even have commercials w/ an obviously English pitchman extolling the virtues of this or that product to the American woman in the ad! Many of the Brits who come here are, like many of the Canadians who do, also QUITE critical of our 'violent, overly religious' culture, our 'ignorant/unsophisticated' people, our 'mania' for money, & especially our 'uncivilised' Second Amendment. And you know what I mean, as there are more Canadians than not who hold the same view of America/Americans as do the Brits/other Euros & if what I've been hearing is true, the time is approaching when some of you up there & we down here might just merge & tell the rest of our degraded collective countrymen/women to go choke themselves.

I don't know how old you are, Chris, or how much attention you've paid to European opinion polls, but for the past 20+ years the Euros have considered Americans, & Israelis/Jews interchangeably, to be the MAJOR threats to world peace & stability & that bizarre view is not only increasing in virulence but is taking on all the manifestations of a genuine psychosis. Look @ England, where vigorously opposing Muslims who say that when they take over they'll kill those who won't convert is considered the 'American way' & therefore 'uncivilised, unsophisticated, & WRONG' & will likely get said opposer jailed for 'hate speech'. Germany's just as bad, & due to the efforts of some to hammer Germans in perpetuity for the crimes of the Nazis, it may be that they won't push back until the only way left for them to resist Islamization is to leave, submit, or get bloody, which will set off yet another spree of "See, I TOLD you they hadn't REALLY changed!" from certain quarters.

The French, as you may/may not know, are making a feeble attempt to resist the Islamist tide, but their efforts are largely for show & when push comes to shove they back off as the govt's reaction to the riots & takeover/de facto secession of whole sections of French cities prove. Lest some think that I won't criticise America because I'm an American, understand that my above responses also apply to an extent to my beloved U.S.A. & I'm just as angry & heartsick about our situation as others are about theirs. The thing that makes our dilemma worse is the 'racial' aspect of opposing Islamism. There are many American blacks who are Muslims & who, w/ the help of non-Muslim Leftists, will use that as a tool to deflect opposition by labeling such as 'racist'/'bigotry'/'hate' & get generally away w/ it due to America once being a slave owning country. That a war was fought which had the side effect of ending slavery & legislation has been enacted that's made American blacks better off than their foreign kin anywhere & @ anytime in history means nothing to said coalition, nor does the fact that 'white' animosity against blacks has been declining for DECADES & is now largely the domain of REAL 'white' supremacists of the Klan/Nazi/neo-Nazi aberration. Add to that the 'race' of the current President, his own Muslim ties, his Leftist orientation, & the corruption of the American spirit, & you can see that we in the U.S. have more than a bit to handle of our own. Be that as it may, we do have some advantages over our Euro cousins that give us @ least a decent chance of fending off Islamization:

Religious & ethnic diversity, a very large (& growing) portion of Americans who love their country, are proud of its accomplishments, revere its traditions/foundational documents/Founders, are fed up w/ being denigrated because they won't go w/ the currently fashionable 'flow' of thought from self-appointed 'bettahs', &, that's right, have the physical means to repel those who'd try to force acceptance of their philosophy. And for those who disbelieve the importance of that last part, take note of the numerous news items about the HUGE surge of gun/ammunition sales that began in Nov 08 & hasn't slacked off yet, look @ the continuing decline of gun involved crime despite said surge, observe the chamnge in public opinion regarding illegal immigration & how it's being tied to Islamism, & finally, see how American support for Israel is getting bigger as we see what's happening around the world/in our own country. Those things that Europe's discarded as 'outmoded', 'gauche', & even 'dangerous to a civilised society' may just be the things that allow us to successfully resist dhimmitude & not experience the kind of politico-religious bloodbath that Europe might have to endure. @ least I hope we won't have to.
