My feelings, too.

My family is European and Far Eastern, and here's my take:

I have no problem with European Jews who want to walk the street unmolested when they're wearing a magen david and a yarmulke or who want to close down the shop on Saturday or who want to be free of harrassment. If that were the whole story, I'd write my people in the House and Senate to create a special immigration category to import more.

But the USA has too many social democrat wannabes already, and I've also run into some of the Eurotrash "bettahs" whom Cassandra describes. I'm also disgusted by those so-called "independent European Marxists", the erstwhile mentors of Pol Pot, who are over here and have been corrupting American life ever since the interwar years. Frankly, I thnk they and the newer crop of Eurotrash "bettahs" ought to be made to swim back home before they make the USA the same sort of dithering, helpless blob into which they've already turned Europe. At the same time, while I'm all for enforcing our immigration laws down at the southern border; there is a species of Latin American illegal whom I would just as soon haul in, smack on the wrist, fine, document, and then allow to stay (even if there are many, many more whom any sane country would deport in the blink of an eye).

I had uncles shot at back in 1941-45 and my parents were taxed to the gills during the Cold War to save Yurroppe from its "grand ideas"; and then we had a couple generations of Yurruppeen innaleckchools who've never forgiven America for having made it impossible for them to live and work (and maybe mine gold on the Kolyma with an AK pointed at their backs and numbers on their shirts) under the guidance of their idol Stalin. Maybe a period of Islamic rule is just what they need.

As for the AMerican blacks who've been turning to Islam--I've read the Otterboggerfee of Malcolm Mountebank X, and I groan. MY feelings, MY civilization(S), MY love of America are deeply angered every time I see some street named after that con-man. It's not funny to see people exchanging the religion of a long line of abolitionists for that of people who had to give up slave-hunting at gunpoint (back when Europe was great). It's worse when a man who--as scion of East African Muslims--had slave hunters in his family line long after the last American slave holder was ruined in the Civil War is hailed as America's first black president.

And, I will also admit to a kind of Schadenfreude. My whole childhood was spent hearing some talking heads who did funny things with their r's and vowels lecturing me and mine about our racism, and hearing others in fine, Midwestern tones talking about how "enlightened" Yurroppe was about such things. Now, when I'm old and dandling my not-all-white granddaughter on my knee, I can chuckle about how the shoe is now on the other foot.
