Desert Storm was the right thing to do, and it was needed. dictator saddam had to be dealt with.Reader comment on item: Operation Desert Storm Plus 20 Submitted by Phil Greend (Canada), Aug 2, 2010 at 18:05 In Iraq the lives of millions was impaired by saddam and his goons. He killed untold numbers of his own people plus the Kurds and other ethnic and religious minorities. People would disappear and never be heard from, others tortured and killed. The only problem with Desert Storm was the fact that it ended before the needed job was done. We lacked the will to go in and remove this islamic thug from power and hold elections. ( This is why it had to be done later) P.S. I know it is rude to play armchair general after the fact , hindsight is 20/20. but I hope we learn from this . . . we must have the will to win.
