THE "Ally"

The ally who did not want Saddam removed in 1991 was saudi Arabia, Saudi arabia is a tail which wags the head. Two bit medieval regimes like saudi Arabia should not be given more respect than they deserve. Since the US did precisely that, the US found itself in a bigger quagmire later.
